These are indeed limited on older Apple Watch models, as mentioned up above, which is why we can't show them. The only new watch faces available on my Series 3 are the Numerals Mono and Numerals Duo watch faces, which look pretty much the same as they do on Series 4.

It's not listed on the site, but the info has been confirmed directly by Apple. Noise is Series 4 only.

Thanks for the confirmation, albeit disappointing. :( I appreciate the reply!

It may take a few years but I hope Apple eventually releases a custom watch face store/builder.

This. This has been a long time request since the first GEN Apple Watch launched in 2015. I suspect Apple likely has something they’re working on to provide more customizable watch faces exclusively through a store, (obviously which will come at a price point), but I think there are plenty of devoted Apple Watch users that would really like to see an Apple Watch face store where they can customize and create their own watch face based on a variety of complications/themes/patterns/, ect.

I'm curious how that tip feature works in the calculator!

So you type in the total of the bill in the main calculator interface and then tap the "Tip" button. From there, you can use the Digital Crown to select the tip percent you want to leave. And if you tap down on "People," you can select how many people to split the bill between and it will give you a per person readout with tip included.

MR Staff, or anyone else who has access to the beta, does the Cycle Tracking app allow others to be informed/alerted? The current "Clue" app does allow family/friends to sign up and be notified at various optional points of the menstrual cycle.

This isn't a feature.

TIP button might be useful in the US but not in the majority of countries (ie. those that pay employees a decent wage).

it's a bit discouraging when you drop $400 - $500 on a watch and they can't even give us all the new watch faces. The Mono watch faces are hideous.
I understand hardware limited features, but there is no reason a Series 3 can't use the same watch faces as a Series 4.
Praying someday Apple lets us create our own. So far I've not been to impressed with the selections. Modular has been my go to since the OG Apple Watch.
Everything else is just so boring. The Series 4 gave me hope... the Utility watch faces look great, but are only available on the Series 4. :(

This pretty much is the bulk of my point. It's like the Messages reply on the AirPods. It only works on the second generation Airpods, so if you bought them a year ago, you are SOL.

Why can't I get a digital watch face with hours, minutes, seconds?

This has been my question since the first Apple Watch. The only available options are the activity face, or as a complication on infographic. Apple presumably thinks that Apple Watch owners don't need to know the right time.

I'm sure Series 5 will have some exclusive features this fall that no other model gets.

Apple has been doing that for years with all their products, not just the Apple Watch. Some of it is based on how advanced the processor is to boast certain features to support certain capabilities the other Apple Watch models cannot. Also, Of course Apple has to drive home some type of selling point for the Series 5 that the Series 4 won’t offer. That’s called marketing to sell the newest product and giving incentive why someone would want to purchase the latest Apple Watch model.

The Activity Trends feature is another nail in the coffin for my S0 (which doesn't have watchOS 5, much less 6).

The only question is whether I'll get a Series 5 in fall, or a then-discounted older one.

What a bunch of stingy mongrels Apple are. Most of the watch faces are ONLY for the latest apple watch.
The amount of watch faces for the device is already pathetic and a few new average ones won't change that, but the lack of watch faces for Series 3 and 2 really stuns me. There is so much that could be done and yet they just can't be arsed.

Otherwise my Apple watch series 3 is pretty good and I've got great use out of it for the past 16 months.

It is S4 exclusive.

"The Noise app is designed to send you a notification if it detects a decibel level over 90 decibels, which can impact hearing over time. Noise is a feature limited to Series 4 Apple Watch models."

Don't know where you got that, it is not on apple web site about WatchOS6?

We’re getting very close to the point where you can decide to own a Watch as your primary device or even exclusively, without a phone.

I've said this before, but - I think I could function just fine with a cellular-enabled watch and an iPad Mini.

Meh, might be nice to keep track of your woman's MS. Kind of a heads up of things to come...

Then we need an IFTTT-like complication on the watch. If it detects "that time of month", you get an alert:

WARNING! DO NOT GO HOME!

I've selected a number of suitable local bars
you might wish to patronize instead...

I am not even sure if I will update to watchOS 6 at this point, as my high hope of getting noise detection feature is misplaced. I don’t care that much about watch faces as modular is Also my go to choice all the time. Got series 3 because of the cellular support, now i am still a bit one year too soon.

To be fair, cellular model saves me some awkward moments here and there and I like it. But without so many additional features, I feel like I am Using iOS 9 (watchOS 6) on iPhone 4s (series 3).

It's not about older devices not getting all of the new features. For a 200-800 dollar watch that is health focused, it seems like they may want to push more users to use the health features they are trying to include.

There are a ton of new features that are included in WatchOS 6, even for the older devices, but the older watches get... 2 new watch faces, despite showing off 5 watch faces. There is no reason the Gradient or California watch faces wouldn't work well on the series 3, 2, or possibly 1.

Perhaps, discouraging was the incorrect word to use, but it is disheartening to see Apple hold back some of these features that could work just as well on the series 3.

I'm just reacting to news that is disappointing for someone who likes the Stainless Steel or Ceramic like myself.
Perhaps they were left off for reasons other than hardware. Perhaps Apple didn’t like the look of that face with the large bezels? They want to keep the premium feel and keep that border invisible.

It’s not going to happen. And certainly not while there is a Hermès edition. But if it ever does it’s going to be like the early App Store days with fart apps...nothing but joke faces. And that’s what Apple wants to avoid I’m sure.

Oh excuse us holier than though. Signed the US.

I agree that they should allow 3rd parties create watch faces and sell them on the store.

Sometimes I feel offering pride faces is accomplishing the opposite of what is intended. I personally don't mind either way, but looking at it objectively, offering faces for specific groups seems to be the opposite of equality.

I don’t see the point of the new watch faces. The reason to wear an Apple Watch is utility/info at a glance on your wrist. Faces that just display the time in huge numerals or show a solid color with few complications may look cool for a few minutes, but does anyone use them regularly? For me, only the Siri and Infograph faces provide enough info to be useful. These new faces with big quirky numbers seem to defeat the purpose of wearing a smart watch by just displaying the time and little else.

as a man I am relieved to finally be able to keep track of my menstrual cycle from my wrist.

The feature I’m most looking forward to. :p

I’ll update to watchOS 6 just for Audiobook app.
