Hello!
I noticed my MacBook Pro 2011 13 inch, i7 was hanging on wakeup from sleep.

I have done a bit of research, and was unable to turn up anything. But I may have found a solution, too.

It seems to happen less if the computer is shut down daily. So I have set up the machine to shut down every night at 3:00 am. But, if the machine is asleep, will it wake up to shut itself down?

Thanks!

I believe the reason macbooks take a few seconds to wake up is because instead of keeping memory stored it ram, it writes it to the hdd, so it takes a few seconds before it reads that and writes it back into the ram...how much of a hangup are you talking? it usually takes 2-6 seconds depending on what I had opened before going to sleep.

I'm not sure shutting the computer down would have anything to do with it..but if you do do the auto-shutdown I believe there's something that says that the computer must be awake for it to automatically shut down
