It's here (well almost) time for june desktops...
Please only make the threads in the month...mine is the same as it was in May...oh wait! it is May...
And at least actually post a desktop picture...
Edit: ah, pardon me. slow connection i suppose here at the hotel.
Well, isn't it already June on the other side of the dateline?
Yeah aussies are already in June, but South Africa is still in May.
Does it matter, at least someone is in June...
What calendar is that?
It's GeekTool with the following code:
cal | sed "s/^/ /;s/$/ /;s/ $(date +%e) / $(date +%e | sed 's/./*/g') /"
The asterisk in this part of the code 's/./*/g') can be changed to almost any other character, and is used to replace the numbers of the current day in the calendar (see image below). I believe wizwaz3 is using "#".
^^ Argh. All my calendars always have a few days/ dates that are screwy. Suggestions? (FYI: I just copy and pasted someguy's code (and just substitued # for *).
You need to use a monospaced font, like Courier.
Use a fixed-width font if you are having problems with spacing. Lucida Grande works fine for me, though.
Still May 31 here, but why not...it'll look like this when June rolls around:
Shanx! It's been killing me for like a month now... Haha. Odd though, Lucida Grande doesn't like me.
I use (and thus, recommend using) Andale Mono for your mono-spaced font. Monaco is also nice.
No, it took an unusually long time for me too.
If you click, it becomes big. It's from Interfacelift a while ago.
What's the code for you calendar and clock combo?
