Good People,

I did a search and didn't find this particular issue, so if I missed it, please direct me toward a similar thread.

As it says in the title, my MT only offers haptic feedback if it's physically plugged into my iMac. The second it's disconnected and reverts to bluetooth, the feedback is gone. The MT still works, but feels "dead" without the feedback, if you know what I mean. Has anyone else encountered this issue, either here or elsewhere? I'm mystified. I could keep the MT plugged in, but I have to admit I'm a sucker for no wires coming out of my computer.

Relevant details:

Magic Trackpad (USB-C version, model A3120) firmware version: 4.1.0

iMac (M4): Tahoe 26.0.1

Any insight would be much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm sure it's a Tahoe bug. To be honest, it's the most unstable MacOS I've ever used. I had to switch back to Sequoia, and now everything works fine. Try connecting your trackpad to any Mac running Sequoia 15.1 or higher (this is required for version A3120 to work proper)

I'm hoping they fix the issue. It's very odd how it will suddenly work when plugged in. Which, to be fair, isn't the most inconvenient thing, it's just ruining my aesthetic. 😅
