Everyday, usually multiple times a day, haptic feedback stops working on my XS Max. I’ll 3D Touch and no haptic. Randomly. Comes back on when I bring up multitasking, then it starts working again.

I always thought maybe it was an iOS bug. But now I’m on the latest version and it’s still happening. Maybe it’s my device.

Has anyone else heard of this?

If it’s returning when you’re ‘multitasking’, then that wouldn’t be a hardware issue, that’s something that would be software related triggering the re-affect of the haptic sensation. Obviously you upgraded your iOS, have you tried a hard reset at all?

It’s weird how it stops working/starts working. I’ve tried a hard reset. Still happens. iOS bug then?

Honestly, this could go both ways, if it’s not a problem with the haptic engine, then it might be a pressure sensitivity issue when you are trying to invoke the display with 3D Touch, which you’re not getting the haptic sensation in return, so maybe it is hardware related. The only thing that makes me think it’s not hardware related, is the fact that when you’re using multitasking, it reinstates your haptic sensation back to normal for XYZ amount of time.
