Hey all,

Has anyone seen any news about iOS 10.1 or later including more haptic feedback? I like it on my 7+ but it seems very limited at the moment. I would like to see apple implement it more in iOS 10, I really enjoy that feature.

I want less. I want the option to be able to turn if off completely.

I really like it too! Hopefully we see a haptic feedback option for the keyboard in 10.2 or 10.3.

Keyboard taps and maybe when you reach the top or bottom of a page like on the apple watch. I like all the feedback but they shouldn't over do it either. It's a thin line.

I don't see why the 6s and 6s plus cant use all the features considering they have a Taptic Engine?

The iPhone 7 includes a 2nd gen Taptic Engine that developers can create custom Haptics from. A user can even create custom haptics using iPhone 7.

Yes but the 1st gen Taptic Engine is programmable by apple so there is no reason that they can't open it up too developers.

Second gen just means a bigger vibrator motor. Nothing special about it.

Absolutely not. It's also faster and more precise, which means the haptic can be more complex, more subtle and better controlled. That's what first generation Taptic engine brought to the table, but now it's even more directed.
