Hard Drive and Battery replacement

Hey,
i just bought a macbook( from 2007 I think?) for 20 bucks(CDN). Great deal but the harddrive is shot and I would guess I need a new battery because of the age.

My question,
how much is it going to be to replace the hard drive and battery? Do I need to take it to a computer shop or can I do it myself?

The battery is very easy to replace, just slide to take it off and put the new one there. It's 129$ from Apple

HD isn't that easy but it's still replaceable, pick one from these and follow the installation video
