W west.acre macrumors member Original poster Jan 17, 2009 #1 Recently, when I lift up the right hand side of my laptop (quite abruptly, but nothing too fast) the hard drive gives a "clunk" sounds. No other effect, but I just hadn't noticed it before. Is it something to worry about? What should I do?

Tallest Skil macrumors P6 Jan 17, 2009 #2 That's the Sudden Motion Sensor parking the HDD heads to avoid user stupidity. It's a good sound.
