    I am sure that there is a post regarding this, but I didn't see it so here it goes. Do any of you use/know software to examine what is taking up hard drive space? I am looking for a lite program that will allow me to see what is taking up large hard drive space so that I can appzap/delete it if it is not needed. Any recommendations?

    Does grandperspective or any of them have a way of showing the file names in order of size for your entire system.

    Edit. Looks like Jdisk does that.

    Yes. Both WhatSize and JDiskReport list files/directories by size. Moving the mouse over the blocks in GrandPerspective displays the file location in the bottom status bar.

    WhatSize = The Win

    I've used Whatsize for a long time, and I love it.

    It's helped me figure out what's happening, track down old files, and once even helped me identify that something virus related was happening inside Windows (which I was running using VMWare).

    The piechart feature on Whatsize is what makes it so useful, also it's built in root functionality.

    Grand perspective is far inferior imo. I haven't used the other one.
