I have an external hardrive that connect either by firewire or USB.
Up until recently the drive had connected just fine using firewire, however now the hard drive will only power on when connected by firewire.
the only way for me to access the hard drive is to connect it using USB, which slows down transfer times and also uses up one of my usb slots.
when i look under system profiler it says that it is "unable to list devices"
I'm running leopard on an intel Imac
