My computer is having trouble burning DVD and CDs - When I burn a DVD I get a buffer under writing error - when I burn a CD I get a device can't handle the burn speed - I lower the speed same problem: I can move files from one hard drive to another with out any problems - Is it my hard drive or is it my super drive -
HELP!

A few other problems- lately my computer has been freezing up, I got a start-up disk full error but there was plenty of space on my drive - and I haven't been able to load 10.4 I keeping a disk error mess.

thanks
Adam

Tell us a little bit more about your machine. What sort of Mac is it? Is it the standard DVD/CD burner that came with that Mac or is it an external/upgrade? 🙂

the computer is a 10.2.8 and the burner is an external lacie - I just hooked the burner up to a lap top and it worked great. It seems like it might be my hard drive.

Was the other computer a Mac? Have you had this burner work normally before? Exactly how much free space does your start up drive have? Hopefully it's more than 8GB. 🙂

Only 4GB spare? 😱

No wonder everything's running so badly. Try to keep at least 8GB spare for OSX to use as Virtual RAM.
