My hard drive space on my mac seems to be disappearing. I have a 160GB macbook. It is owned by my company, and when it was given to me 2 months ago, it had just over 120GB free space. I recently purchased an external hard drive, and I transferred all my iTunes content, photos, etc to my external drive. All I think is left on my internal drive is my applications folder (just under 16GB), and system files and OS. However, my hard drive now shows only about 30GB free space.

Use Disk Inventory X, OmniDiskSweeper or GrandPerspective to see where your HDD space is gone to.
UPDATE: I just looked in my trash, and I had many, many, many applications, videos, and music files. I now have 116GB free. I guess that solves that problem.
