I have an "80 gig" HD right now and am running out of space fast! i want to get a new internal but I am worried about heating issues. I am thinking about getting a 160gig but I don't know what brand to get.

Has anyone had trouble replacing the HD? Would it be worth the time and $$$ to have Apple install one of theirs?

I just did this today after mine died.

I picked up a random 120 gig SATA drive and slapped it on in there as an upgrade from my 80 gig.

I just did a fresh re-install with the provided CDs. The Drive I put in there had linux on it, so when I went into the installer, I used the "Utilities" menu and picked the drive utlility. I had to delete/erase the partitions on it, but once I did that I could carry on with a new install without any issues.

Seeing how easy that was, my 250 gig is on the way here for install tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes
