Yes I know this topic does not belong here (or does it??). Are all external hardrives compatible with the macbook??? If yes, which one would be the most stylish and killer one within say 50 bucks?

Yes, but they may need reformatting to HFS+ (Mac only) or FAT32 (DOS/Windows/Mac) with /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.

That is an extremely subjective question. I like really plain, subtle cases, but others find flashy ones much more attractive.

i went to newegg.com and did a quick search and found this one.

it was the only one i saw for 50 bucks, you have to look yourself for better results.
