    Hi,

I have just bought my new MacBook Air 13" and I'm overall in love with the damn thing.

But, because there's always a but; it seems that some of the keys are harder to push down than others. Is not much, but I can feel it when I write, and the keys don't have the same crisp sound as I love from Apples MacBooks.

The keys are tab, m, j and af few others.

I might be a little anal about my new Air, but is this a flaw at my new baby and do you think that Apple will take it seriously?

Have any of you guys or girls experienced something like this?

    Thanks...

Not with my Air I don't, but I have this problem on a wireless keyboard I have. The O key is hard to push down, and if you don't think about it when typing to press harder on that key, the O is just skipped over. Not sure why it is that way, but doesn't bother me to much. That said, I don't use it that often, as it is for the Mac mini hooked to my TV.

As to weather Apple will care/do anything about it, I don't know? Can't hurt to ask.

Sounds like an annoying flaw to me. If it bothers you, you should complain about it. The more people let these things slide, the looser quality control follows, and Apple's QC is already quite poor from my experience. So, do everyone a favor and demand to get it fixed.

I'll call Apple tomorrow. I just hate the thought of my new Air have to go to rep already after less than a week.

    And yes; its quite annoying.

Its not hard keys - the key travel on the Air is less than other Macbook keyboards, so it takes a bit of adapting to.

I know that the Airs keys are different, but the problem is that some of the keys are harder and do not have the crisp sound as the others.

If they all were the same I would be satisfied - but they are not.

If my experience with a new 13 inch MBA is any guide, the keyboard difficulties the OP is having may well have been caused by a defect. My MBA's keys require a uniform amount of pressure to engage and are silky smooth.

Apple also doesn't want any bad press, even if it's something seemingly minor. Hell, you paid over a grand!
