So I'm having some issues with my phone recently getting errors for emails and some other apps. I'm thinking of resetting my iPhone to factory. This would be my first (hopefully only time) doing so with both a physical sim and an eSim, now would both numbers come back right away? Or would I have to do something to get the eSim number back up and running?

When you do a reset all contents and settings, it will ask you if you want to retain your eSIM info or wipe it as well. Just retain it and you should be good to go! (I haven't done this, just have seen this online in places)

I had to do a reset on my XS Max last week. My AT&T eSim was unaffected when it booted back on.

It didn't ask me if I wanted to save/remove my eSim before erasing. From what I understand, the only way to remove the eSim from your phone is going into Settings > General > Reset > Remove All Cellular Plans. "Erase All Content and Settings" doesn't remove an eSim.
