I have a simple question. What's the model number of the MBP 2011 "factory" 500GB "7200RPM" HDD? 😀 i googled but i can't find.

Applications -> Utility -> System Information -> Serial-ATA -> the one that isn't "MATSHITADVD-R UJ-898" -> Model

it's superdrive model number. and i haven't got a mbp. i can't use the system utils 😀

There isn't a specific model that all MBPs use. They are generally hitachi or toshiba drives though. Occasionally the 5400 RPMs are fujitsu.

Apple, like most manufacturers, doesn't use a specific model drive, but instead sources them from multiple manufacturers. You'll see Hitachi, Western Digital, and Seagate drives in most cases. There's no way to tell you ahead of time what any given MacBook Pro would ship with, unless only one manufacturer makes the drive that is in question, which is not the case with the ones you're referring to.
