Hardrive Format

HI! I bough an internal hardrive from a friend who helped me buy an external case and walked me through some steps to make it work. I was using a pc and transferred all my pictures, music, and documents onto a hd. When i connected it to my mac all i could was copy from the Hd to my mac but not other way around. Is there any way i could change that so i could use it with my mac and my pc? Thanks in advance.

you must have formatted it HFS in which case you will need an HFS reader to read it from windows but you will not be able to write to it, it will need to be FAT32 formatted

NTFS i think can be read from but not written to from OSX? im not sure though...

HFSExplorer would at least let you read a HFS+ formatted drive.

Format it to FAT32 in OS X using Disk Utility.
