Hardware test (software diagnostic vs physically taking phone to store)

    Is there any difference to diagnosing any hardware test from the diagnostic you can send from your phone to an Apple Chat rep vs physically bringing it in the store?

    Last time I was in the store, they dock'd the phone and it bought up an app that ran through a hardware test.

    Their diagnostic tests are only available in the store.

    Not true. They have remote diagnostics. When you contact AppleCare they send a profile to your device that links with the CS rep.

    OP: They are the same diagnostics. Most the time the stores just use the online diagnostics instead of docking your device.
