Hardwaretest tool?

Want to check if my burner in my 12'' PB is working correctly or not.

Does anyone know of a tool which might do the hardwarecheck?

I already did the hardwaretest when booting from the OS install disc.

hmmmmm, no. Errors all over the place (Finder, Toast). It isn't the brand of the CD. I'm pretty sure it's a faulty burner. But I just want to check it.

I don't know much about this stuff, but I'm sure those who do would want to know what kind of errors you are getting. I'm sure they provide some kind of clue as to what is wrong.

It's not worth going into detail. I already checked the error-messages via Google.
