Title sums it up. Has anyone stepped up to the bigger plus sized iPhone & then decided it was too big of a form factor & decided to go back to the smaller version?

I'm about to do that when I move to
The X.

The Plus is just too big for me. I gave it a solid try with the 6S+ and 7+.

I've never been attracted to the Plus. Its' a bloated monstrosity. There would always be a day Apple managed to shrink it while expanding the screen. I'm so happy that moment is now. It's time to upgrade.

Yes sort of. I have really liked my 7+ but the smaller size of the X without much loss in screen size is irresistible for me!

I thought the keyboard would be easier to use on the + but it isn't.

That said I would stick with the 7+ or 8+ over a 7 or 8 if there was no X. The regular 7 feels too small to me now.

The large screen size in the small form factor is the biggest thing that appeals to me about the X, but the price point & lack of other real enhancements will keep me away from upgrading to it.

I've thought about it but the extra battery & screen real estate is why I stayed with it but the size is an issue. This is why I'll prob go with the x.

Yes. I went from the 6S to the 7+. I loved the features but for me, it's too cumbersome to use.

I'm going to be buying the iPhone 8 this year.

my husband did. he originally got the plus when it was first available and hated it. then he replaced it with the 6S and stuck with the same size with the 7. He loves that size (although I think his phone it so tiny any time I have to use it!)

If we go ahead and upgrade to the X, we're paying off his phone and selling it to his buddy.... He prefers the smaller sized phones, too.

The price point is definitely the most offputting part of this new iPhone X. Even for those who pay full retail for the iPhone, that's a lot of money to spend, depending on if the upgrade anually or not.

Ultimately, the iPhone X is my choice. I think with the redesign, OLED display, Face ID has me intrigued, and camera capabilities look very promising. And the A11 Bionic sounds incredibly powerful as well.

I had the 6 Plus and 6s Plus. Since I'm on the upgrade plan and get the new phone every year, I figured last year I'd go for the 7 to change things up, reduce my monthly payments a bit, make the phone easier to hold in the hand and fit in the pocket.

Well, after a year with the 7, I hate it. The lower PPI screen is noticeable to my eyes. Web browsing is worse because there's less of a page on the screen, and clicking on small links is tougher. The battery life is a joke for a phone in 2017. I cannot wait to get an 8 Plus later this month.

YMMV of course.

I went from the 6+ to the 6S. I loved the big screen, but it was always awkward to carry the larger Plus phone. I couldn't fit it in front pant pocket without it feeling awkward and bulky, and i don't wear tight pants at all. I ended up always putting in my back pocket, which required having to take it out of my pocket when I sat down.

I did love the battery life, that was been a noticeable reduction, but it's still enough to get through a day. I can't tell the difference in the pixel resolution. I do find the smaller phone much more comfortable in my hand and in regular use. I would consider the iPhone X, but I don't think I would go back to a Plus size phone again.

Yeah, I did: I had a 6S+ and really liked it until the summer came along and I found I struggled to carry it in shorts, etc. I downsized to an SE and loved the small size and convenience. My main phone is now an S8 but I still have my SE for when I want a really compact sized phone.

I did. Went from 6s+to 6s and loved it. Then I got an SE loved the phone just a little too small for me to type on. Then I got the 7 and quickly returned it for a 7+ and haven't looked back. I love the smaller form factor but I can't go back to a smaller screen. Something about the X just doesn't do it for me though. May keep the 7+ until next year.

I loved moving to the plus from the 5s since it was easier to two hand type (sacrificing one handed use tho). I will get the Xs successor since I got the Jb plus last year.

I tried it when the 7 first came out but I missed the screen real estate and especially the extra battery life so I ended up getting a 7 Plus to replace it.

I am going to move from the 7plus to the x. I am a little worried as I have loved the phablet sector. I have owned the Note 2,3,4,5 and then jumped to the 7 plus last year. I think it will be fine. If not I can count on apples amazing resale value to limit the pain I feel if the phone isnt for me.
