Bought my wife a 10.5 pro on clearance at walmart a few weeks back. We went on vacation so it sat in the house for awhile. She went to use it yesterday and it was bent and warped and we have no idea how it happened! I was on the phone with apple support for about 2 hours and it was a mess. They were trying to figure out a way not to charge me for the replacement, but it looked like I still might be charged even though that was the only thing wrong with it. I decided to try to bend it back and it worked for the most part. You can’t really notice it now.

I have the 12.9 and 11” and I use them daily and haven’t ever had this issue but did with my wife’s 10.5 pro. I couldn’t hardly believe it. I hadn’t ever seen anything like this before. I am just glad it is fixed for now. I have 8 days to get the AppleCare plus, I will be doing that ( I have them on my other iPads).

Can you even get AC+ now that Apple knows you damaged it? Yes I've heard of it before I bought my 10.5. I have AC+ because of this video.

I hope so.. I am going to try to get it from the about section of the iPad tonight..

I have two 12.9 2018 iPad pros. Neither were bent. The both live in Apple's folio case or Apples folio keyboard. They go between my backpack or messenger bag (according to travel or level of meetings). Our relief organization uses other iPads in the field and none have had any bending issues. We did have one 12.9 that had touch issues and Apple replaced it without any issues.

My 10.5, bought april this year, might be slightly bent, but not sure whether it really is or its just an optical illusion, havent checked it against perfectly flat surface. Not bothered by it anyway since it works and doesnt impair anything.

I have never bent an iPhone or iPad. I'm careful with my stuff, and (apparently) lucky.

iPads include original iPad, iPad 2nd gen, iPad mini, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 4, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, and 10.5" iPad Pro... and every iPhone from the original (2G) through the 6S, and 7S and Xs Max.

Of course! There’s thousands of people who don't have any issues with these tablets. Believe it nor no, some people in the word do not even know this website exists, and if they did, how many people would sign up just to say “hey, my tablet is not bent”? o_O

100% correct. Of course when people have trouble with their IPPs they will google the problem and will be directed to threads on sites like this one and they will post. Quite right too, but it would be interesting to know what percentage of IPPs have the sort of problems that get posted here. I can’t suppose it would be anything other than a very small percentage otherwise the daily press would be all over it.
Mind you if it’s your IPP then the problem is very real.

You are both spot on here. Clearly we do not know the percentage of "bent" iPads, or failed Keyboards, or delaminating screens, etc. What we can say for sure is that people are drawn to sites like this when they have issues to try to find out what to do. I have one of the affected MBPs under the extended keyboard warranty. Just because it hasn't happened to me doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist.

Good luck with Apple sorting this thing out OP, these issues are very frustrating to be sure.
