To be honest, I have an Samsung S7 Edge and not to bash any company but I was using a iPhone 6s more because of how slow the S7 was with apps

This made it even more obvious that I should stick with Apple products..

Would you ever switch to Android?

If i were to return to Android it would be to Oneplus or Google pixel phones only. Oneplus in particular are making excellent phones, highly optimised, with almost stock Android with practically no bloatware. I mean just look at the new Oneplus Nord for example. But at this moment in time i am very happy with ios and iphones in general.

No in store customer support.
$1,999 AUS for a phone that will only get one major os update, no thanks.
Software nowhere near as polished as iOS.
Software doesn’t lag on iOS like it does on every android phone.
Android apps look like they were designed by a 1 year old.
Apps run and look better on iOS.
Not giving up Face ID, gestures and all the other goodies you get with iOS.
Not giving up the best mobile chipsets in the business.

Yes. Switched from the original SE to Galaxy S10e 15 months ago, and have since switched from iPad to Samsung Tab A 10.1. I do like Apple products, but at the moment, they're either too big or too expensive for me. Having seen the new SE, I'm glad I didn't wait. I may go back to Apple in the future if they lower their prices/release something I actually want.

I did it once before - Went from my iPhone 4S to a Galaxy S3 and then to an S5 for a couple of years.

Not sure how I lasted that long.

Switched to an iPhone 6 after that and I'll never move away from Apple again.

It's all well and good having these fantastic hardware specs but when the system and phone (in my experience) feels so dated and slow to use it's worthless having them.

I might have to, if Apple insists on making phones with a chunk of the display missing at the top
Since the SE is too small for me, I'm considering to get an 8+ before they disappear entirely, even if my 6+ is still rocking. And it won't last for long, probably 3 or 4 years.
But in 3/4 years Android may get replaced by Fuchsia, which sounds promising.

The fact apple are said to be still running 60hz on 1k iPhones in 2020 is making me want the note ultra. I love iOS though but how they are behind on key features is just frustrating.

When in comes to hardware the note ultra will blow the iphone out of the water. However buying a phone is more than just hardware specs.

using an iphone xs - which is perfect to me.
great peformance, great camera, face ID is fast and works for 99%, design is for me on top.

have also an s10 from my company... does also the job, but there are some litte things that keep me at apple.
for example when the clock rings in a dark room in the morning - the samsung display needs always more time so that the display gets dark enought that the display is not dazzle my eyes... the iphone is there much more better - also face ID in the dark is on the iphone much more better..

also apple pay does a great job and syncing to mac works like magic... its simply working.

just make sure you get snapdragon versions as exynos can be used as a heater in winter 😂😂😂

I did have both before moving to 11 pro and Snapdragon version kills exynos in everything.

Yeah SD is a lot better, right now the only downside to the note is certainly that exynos chip. Samsung really need to get those new chips in 2021 which they are rumoured to

we’ll really be in trouble if Apple succumb to surveillance capitalism but luckily for us they appear to be doubling down on privacy and maintaining a traditional capitalism model of simply selling products with margin.

because android effectively destroyed the competitiveness of the smartphone operating system market the only way to currently avoid the surveillance capitalists is to buy Apple.

Don’t really need to, both OS track you and listen. Google is clearly most known for it but even on apple devices google services are needed because areas like google maps/YouTube are both far better than what’s out there. Same with google search

My first phone was an Android phone and I loved it. However, the more I used it the more I disliked it. Eventually I bought a 6S and never looked back.

When you supply or share data with Apple it is done to improve the products and services they offer. Apple don’t use that data to build detailed user profiles to target advertising or influence behaviour. Google does both of those things. It’s the using your data to build detailed profiles to sell to advertisers that is the surveillance capitalism. It’s what is currently destroying our democracies, fuelling hate and polarisation online, and I can’t be part of that.
