I am trying to find a way to tether my phone to my kayak while fishing. Is this the best method you think or would I be better off gluing a ring to my waterproof case?

your Kayak has wifi? or you mean tie it to your Kayak? if youre gonna use it often best bet is get a waterproof case with a Lanyard hole. if you just want to bring the phone with you get a Pelican waterproof box.

yes.in Indonesia Tether means Personal hotspot...and who knows your Kayak has wifi? Kalashnikov made a shotgun with bluetooth and wifi.

(verb) tie with a rope or chain so as to restrict its movement.

It was just borrowed for tech (e.g. wireless tethering).

It’s ok, the dual definition of tether isn’t what threw me it was the idea of Bluetooth on a kayak I just pictured a car type stereo install ?

Bluetooth on a kayak is gonna be goos. Especially if you have speakers xD not an outdoor kind of person but i like music.
