Has anyone figured out how to disable the new beep sound when pressing "mute" during a phone call?

it is a dumb idea... however, I guess Apple engineers believe that there are people who need that beep? fine by me... but why not offer a way to disable it in sound settings?

did Apple recently hire a lot of former Google Pixel engineers? (because some of these stupid ideas were eerily similar to what Google had done on it's Nexus/Pixel line of phones in the last several years)

Doesn't look like it. Eh, I guess audio confirmation can be a good thing, just an additional confirmation that you are definitely muted or unmuted.

I tested it and no they can't. It appears the phone mutes the call prior to the sound playing and plays the sound prior to unmuting.

I really wish there was a way to disable this tone. It's so annoying.
