Has anyone gotten the esata w/ express card combo to work successfully?

Has anyone used an express card and had the esata connection work with an external hard drive? I edit videos and I need a faster connection than my FW400 HD. It can't keep up w/ my video edits and has this strange lag to it.

i use this
works great for me. never did any benchmarks though.
pretty standard sil3132 chipset.
you can probably find a better deal if you look around.

i've heard the Jmicron equipped expresscard works better. The 3132 isn't that great of a chipset, and speeds have been a lot slower.. i have the PNY card w/ the 3132. Not too bad though cause i got it for 15 bucks at Best Buy.
