The 15" MBP with HR AG must be on the Mark Zuckerburg approved hardware list.

I guess so. It seemed like a massive ad for Apple. And on the shot of Mark they had a 15" MacBook Pro Hi Res in the background that clearly was running Lion with the Lion default desktop picture.

love my HR AR on my 2011 mbp 15". my older one was the late 2008 mbp, with shiny class. i hated the reflection, so i covered it up with that matte screen thing. i hated that, but much less than the reflection.

now i use the 2011 for working, and 2008 for watching movies and other media consumption in the darkened room. best of both worlds... going from the HR to the regular resolution, i feel cramped now. yeah, it's so easy to get spoiled...

spoiled is the reason why i can't get the ipad... the iphone 4's retina display has made the ipad's screen look, well, crappy.

I just watched Diary on MTV where they went behind the scenes at Facebook. 95% of the computers were 15" MacBook Pros with the anti-glare display. I saw a 13" MacBook Pro and a few ThinkPads. But the MacBook Pros were all attached to large Dell displays, which of course, were anti-glare too.

Alot of the MBP's were not AG.

I have the anti-glare and I'm sort of regretting it. I, like a lot of other users, had a lot of eye strain while using the computer. For me, it wasn't because of the LED backlight, it was the resolution. I altered a lot of the settings and major calibrated it, like pumping the gamma all the way to 2.5 and lowering the temps all the way to 4000K, and messed around with Tinkertool, and that's just tolerating it; my eyes would strain a little bit. I do find myself getting used it little by little day, so hopefully I can train myself to get used to it. I'm a little reluctant about returning it because I really do love the screen and cannot get used to the reflectiveness of the standard res. They are way more reflective than even the Window's PC's.

I have one and I think this is the best laptop display I've ever had. On the train right now and it's a luxury not having the glare from the overhead lighting. I also think that that the higher resolution gives it a much more desktop-like experience than the regular 15.

I wear glasses with an not mild prescription and have thus far not experienced any eye strain.

Guess I'm just lucky!

I thought about buying the AG but thought I would regret it. I went with the Hi-res glossy.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

I've had my AG 17" for a week now and have had a wee bit of eye strain, but nothing to really worry about. It seems to be a common problem with Windows users moving to Mac, with how the text rendering is done etc. Some of the text is minuscule in places though...

Thankfully Cubase 6 looks amazing on this screen. :)

Nope

Absolutely brilliant display. Always bought anti-glare, from back when it was a standard option.. never regretted.
And with the high-res, it's just perfect. Would always pay another couple of hundred to get it.
