Has anyone had touch ID/cellular issues after using iTunes to do a iOS 8.0.1 update?

Lots of reports of OTA (Over The Air) updates of iOS 8.0.1 causing these problems.
Are people having failures using iTunes to update their phones with touch ID?

Yes, I just updated on my 6 and now the touch ID doesn't work at all.
