Has anyone tried the $150 repair for 6+?

I've heard that the touchscreen not working happens to every 6+, and the third party repair is $150, but is it true that a re-emergence of the problem is not likely to happen?

Apple pissed me off when this happened to me and said i had to pay 200 to fix it. I had a fully working phone that had a small speaker defect, which instead of fixing it they gave me a replacement unit. Phone had touch disease within a week. I just went in a week later when the screen was in working mode, traded it in for the $200 Apple gift card. It's their problem now and they can fix it in 2 seconds.

When I went to the store a while ago, they told me that I should get a new phone because even if I fix it it is likely to happen again.

I took my 7 to a 3rd party store. Seemed like they did a good job until my phone would freeze when I scanned anything in Wallet. Took it back to them and they screwed up the Touch ID so I had to go to Apple. Apple put a new screen on and worked fine. Tech told me 3rd party repair shops don't have access to Touch ID repair parts or any of the gaskets and seals. So it really doesn't pay to take it to a 3rd party shop. 3rd party shop did refund my money for their repair.

I just took mine into the Apple store near me. I have been having this issue a lot lately. It is so bad, when I reset my phone, it sometimes won't recognize my taps to enter in my passcode. I was told the problem is with the logic board and changing the screen won't solve the problem. Since my phone is out of warranty, it would cost $150 to replace the entire phone. Unfortunately, they would replace it with another 6 plus and can't guarantee it wouldn't happen to the replacement iPhone. So, I'm not going to do that, and am considering my upgrade choices.

re-enforcing shield (re-design) . jumper bungee cord. chips, jumping cable, not going to tear off, room to play, for a play.

Unfortunately, they would replace it with another 6 plus and can't guarantee it wouldn't happen to the replacement iPhone.

According to this 3rd party, they used a reinforcement technique to ensure that this problem doesn't happen again, but noticed that it happened, so they developed another strategy using 'bungee cord' so that the part responsible the problem doesn't tear off, and hasn't seen the problem reappear again.

Thanks for the info. That said, I'd rather not pay $150 so some company can jury-rig my iPhone to not have this problem. I'd rather move on and get an updated phone.
