Has anyone's sleep indicator light burnt out?

i was just wondering if anyone has ever seen a sleep light that burnt out. i was just wondering because my imac is always in sleep mode, and so is my macbook. (when i'm not using them anyway)

I believe it's an LED lamp, so it'll only last around 100,000 hours* before you have to replace it.

Here's a top secret technique we use in the theatre: put a piece of tape over it.

Then put a piece of black tape or something over it OR turn it off! Pretty simple, ya think?

I just turn my macbook around. I don't get this whine. Why do so many people complain about that light, yet no one seems to complain about the morons who don't cover it up or flip it around.
