Has anyone's sleep indicator light burnt out?

    i was just wondering if anyone has ever seen a sleep light that burnt out. i was just wondering because my imac is always in sleep mode, and so is my macbook. (when i'm not using them anyway)

    I believe it's an LED lamp, so it'll only last around 100,000 hours* before you have to replace it.

    *11.4155 years

    I wish mine would burn out, winds me up when I'm trying to sleep and it's blinking away

    Here's a top secret technique we use in the theatre: put a piece of tape over it. :p

    Then put a piece of black tape or something over it OR turn it off! Pretty simple, ya think? :rolleyes:

    I just turn my macbook around. I don't get this whine. Why do so many people complain about that light, yet no one seems to complain about the morons who don't cover it up or flip it around.

    Put a small teddy bear in front of the LED, give your MacBook a sleeping partner ;)
