Im really close to buying a 3GS. I just don't want to buy it with these battery problems going on. Has an official statement been released?

I haven't heard any formal statement, but it's worth noting that not everyone has the battery "issue". Out of the millions of iPhones sold, I see less than a million threads on this.

There is no issue with the battery for a 3GS. This is a forum, so you're going to read about problems. Feel free to get your 3GS.

What battery issue? This is a forum, people complain, thats what people do on forums. Go and purchase your 3GS.

There are no battery issues. Jesus.

Haven't really seen complaints other then on this forum. I think it's a very limited issue. I'd go for it. Actually, I did. You should too.

They don't do official statements. They just replace things.

Wasn't there statements for the video cards failing in MBP's and the batteries in last generation MBP's. I most likely am mistaken but could have sworn I saw something from apple on these issues.

My had a 3g since February and I have a 32gb 3gs. Battery life is about the same on both of them when you compare equal use. Anything network is the biggest battery killer

There would have to officially be a battery problem first shouldn't there? Like others have said, this is a forum where people complain and some make things up to complain about. I have seen maybe 25 people complain on here about their batteries. I believe maybe half actually have something to complain about.
