I have searched everywhere and so far still no news of the new iTouch 2G being Jailbroken. Will it ever be done. Possibly there may be no exploit entry this time?

It's iPod touch, and it's already been done.

if your going to make such a statement please could you provide proof 😛

the 2nd gen iPod Touch (this is an iTouch) has NOT been jailbroken as yet.

the iPhone dev team are working hard to find an exploit to get the 2nd gen users into the marvelous world of jailbraking just a case of being patient. The dev team have made some progress in finding something they posted a blog here: http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/50363303/u-cant-touch-this

It doesn't matter what generation it is. What matters is the firmware. I believe the 2nd Gen runs firmware version 2.1.

2.1 firmware has been jailbroken already with QuickPwn so the answer is yes.

are you really that thick? the jailbreak for 1st gen took advantage of a hardware exploit in the new ipod they fixed the exploit so yeh feel free to go out and get a new ipod and try jailbreaking it 😉 u wont get far and the 2nd generation actually uses 2.1.1

I've never seen more bad/misleading/lying information in my life than on this board.

The answer is the OLD Touch hasn't even SUCCESSFULLY been jailbroken on 2.1, I doubt you'll see you new Touch jailbroken for a while.

so your saying me using 2.1 right now on my 1st gen iPod doing everything I want to do as I have been with previous jailbreaks is a lie then?

the whole point of a jailbroken ipod is to allow 3rd party applications to run via installer/cydia which I have been doing for a few weeks now since they released the jailbreak

I hereby dub thee thread to be the most confusing thread in the universe. People, get your mind straight. Either prove it or shut it.
