I've notices a little slow down. Mostly the forums as well. Usually with iPhone or iPod news;). A few days ago it would stick when I was trying to post to a thread. At first I though someone was rejecting my usual stupidity but I guess not;). I was thinking it was all the n00bs posting "help with my new 13" MBP" threads and other assorted stupid easily solved problems but it seems to be pervading the post-WWDC rush. Good luck.

The forums have been EXTREMELY slow for me tonight. More than a minute to load any thread, plus another minute to load the reply page, and another to post.

Did we lose a server or four?

It was really dragging about five minutes ago, 2 minute page loads for example. It seems to be running well again though.

I guess the ferrets that run the servers at night plugged the power cord back in.

EDIT: And we're back to being slow ... stupid ferrets.

It seems to go in waves on the speed. It is good now then 30 min later it takes 5 seconds to save a post edit.

(Now it is stuck loading avatars)

It got better for a few hours today, but it's back to being really slow again.

Don

really?? i just loaded about 10 tabs at the same time and they went fine... my replies are going fast too.

EDIT: actually it was mixed, some pages went fast - others slow (with replying, loading was fine).

I noticed this thread while scrolling down the front page, waiting for the other thread I had clicked on to open. So yes, much slower lately. ;)

I've only been here a few days but yes it's slower than other sites for me.

Maybe this is the reason:

It used to be

and so bad, particularly when multiple MacRumors tabs were open, that I thought I'd dropped my wireless connection and would reset the router. I eventually figured out it was the site rather than the connection. I suspect this is unrelated but, after the last week or so of updates, it seems to have resolved itself. I suspect it was likely on the server side but can't help but wonder.
