So for a little while now, my iPhone has been crashing and getting stuck on 10-20 minute reboot loops a few times a day. Almost always the crash occurs when interacting with an app (opening Spotify, looking up an address on Maps, responding to a text in Messages, etc.) and not when the phone is idle, although it has crashed when idle on a few occasions as well.

I have had to recover and restore the phone twice and have gone through all the troubleshooting associated with the infamous reboot loop issue, and yet the problem still persists.

Is there any possibility that this isn't a hardware issue? I was hoping this phone would last me until the Fall, but it's looking unlikely at this point...

Sounds more like a hardware issue in that case unfortunately. Probably best to get it checked at an Apple Store to be sure.

Indeed, it's a hardware issue. Not worth the cost to fix. Looks like I'm in the market for a new phone.

If you want to stay with the 4 inch form factor the SE is definitely worth looking at. It has the same internals as the 6S so will last you a while and it's the most affordable current iPhone if your on a budget.

I actually ordered an SE yesterday. Ultimately the small form factor is more important to me than the better screen and camera on the 6S.
