Hello all,

All in the title really:

Has either Steve, Woz or anyone else from Apple ever visited or posted on macrumors or another dedicated forum?

Just curious,

appledu

If they have visited (which I am sure they have), they either haven't posted or haven't admitted it was them.

I was curious so I looked at the member list and I could find a Steve Jobs but not a Woz. The Steve Jobs person is a newbie and only made one post. That member said the iWalk rumor was not going to happen.

I forgot what iWalk was suppose to be about. I am sure they would enjoy reading the feedback on products and possible product ideas.

If it was a fake Steve Jobs. It was a waste of a member name since it was only a single post from that person.

I know I'm so mad.
That username should be deleted. So someone else can have it.

We know from "Super Secret Apple Rumors" at the last MWSF keynote that at the very least, Apple manglement types do at least read the rumor sites.

yeah. so the real stevey can use it. ;)

sorry but, only a n00b would ask such a question. it is widely known, that apple never discusses future products especially when the world is not listening.

How is that?

How do we know that Apple management types read the rumor sites?

Well, at that time the buzz in the air was of the Intel transition and low and behold one of Steve's first comments was "Yes, it's true!" complete with Keynote slide where the "e" was slightly dropped below the baseline of "tru" in an Intel stylee.

There you have it, somebody at Apple reads the rumor sites!! ;)

We will never really know for certain if Steve or Woz or even Mr Gates has posted, For all we know they might be one of us.

I would be curious tho to find out if any famous people are regulars.

i know one fairly high up OS X OS programmer that posts here very very rarely.

I'm sure that, while the 'big ones' probably haven't been here, Apple does have some people who regularly visit major mac-discussion forums, simply for market research sake.

It's simply good business to keep tabs on what your most dedicated customers have to say to each other.

Wrong question.

Not "Does Apple visit...." but "Does Apple listen?" -- it'd be staggeringly stupid for a company like Apple, with such a clearly-defined and fanatical fanbase, to disregard the free and uninhibited advice of their customers.

For the most part, though, they take us with a grain of salt. Remember the reaction to the iPod? To the Intel switch? Both have been massive successes, at least in my opinion, but if Apple made decisions based on the recommendations of their customers, well, we would never have seen either of those. (Of course, we might have also been fortunate to miss that iPod speaker thing, the leather case, iPod socks, and my VESA mount-less iMac)

Hello? Isn't iGary pretty obvious? The constent Steve tars' and the best system out of anyone here?

If Steve Jobs has the problems iGary had with his equipment and getting it replaced, we're all in trouble...

Maybe they share a username.

Let's see. Maybe Jobs, Steve + Steve Wozniak.

Jobs/Steve/Wozniak.

JSW.

or something like that.

They might even mention it because they figure no one would take the idea seriously.
