I barely ever touch my laptop since getting the iPad Pro 12.9. I only used my laptop for examsoft softest exams at school since it was required.....

I am using mine more and more, but I just can't live without my Macbook, but I guess maybe like 70% of the time I am on my iPad.

I only use Macbook PRO 15 for backups of iOS devices and storing pictures. Otherwise, iPad PRO 12.9 is my daily use.
That sounds like such a waste. Lol

But I have no room to talk, because my MacBook Pro is used exclusively for Minecraft and occasionally things I'd just do on my iPad but need to justify my purchase of the MacBook.

I know I'm not an "average" user, but there are just so many reasons why that ain't happening for me:

-3D modelling and animation
-game development
-motion graphics and composting
-scripting
-full photoshop
-multi monitor setups
-drag and drop
-generally much more complicated working environments than "split screen"
-enormous projects stored on external drives/servers
-can print to any printer

I use my 12.9" iPad Pro and 27" iMac equally. But everything that I do can be accomplished on the iPad Pro.

I use it more at home, but not at work - laptop still rules there. Not sure I could replace the laptop just yet.

Silly example but I accidentally deleted a song from iTunes Match on my iPad. It was one I ripped from a CD years ago, and didn't purchase from iTunes.
I was able to get the song back from my DropBox backup, however I had to use a Mac to get it back into iTunes Match (in the cloud) via iTunes. There is no way to do this using iOS. Small thing, but quite ridiculous really.
Yep...that's so stupid! Those things should be easily doable from iOS devices

Now that I bought a 2016 rMB, I am using Mac much more and I am thinking about selling my iPad Pro 12.9. The iPad is a nice device but at this size it should've replaced my laptop by now and it simply didnt. It really needs a pointing system and a touchpad. Using a Mac for productivity feels so much more natural than pointing your finger horizontally to screen...

Agree, although some people say that using apple pencil can make them be as productive than with a trackpad.

Don't forget new toy syndrome. A while back i got a Macbook Pro Retina 2014 new at the time. I thought i didn't need my iPad as i was using the new toy all the time. I sold it, one iPad air. Guess who missed it once the novelty of Mac wore off? You may go back to using the Pro.

Goes both ways. ;)

It really nearly replaced my MBP and MBA. I use myMBP only to sync my iPhone and iPad Pro. I use the MBA for video editing and coding. I still have issues filling out PDFs on the IPP and have to pull the MBA out for that but in reality I rarely touch my laptops now. I never would have believed it before I got the iPP - love it and I have both the ASK and the Logitech case but I'm using the Logitech case exclusively now.

Cheers,
B
