I have always loved writing. It just feels good to me. I hate paper. My goal is to have everyone do everything digitally. When I can, I get meeting notes and agendas in advance via email, import them into ZoomNotes, and I are my notes there. If not, I snap pictures of the documents and do the same thing, leaving the paper to someone else.

If I had the Pencil, I would definitely be trying things that I currently have no interest in. i.e. Drawing. If anyone hears of an Pencil Giveaway/Contest, let me know.

How is zoom notes? I use Goodnotes for annotating and writing as PDF expert is really bad at palm rejection. But PDF expert is my "finder" in iOS!
I do the same at meetings (and the rest of my work), everything digital!

Yes, I'm getting all " Dear diary". It's good, a bit of fun but also cathartic at times.

Handwriting was one of the main reasons I got the 12" iPad Pro on day one. Love it. Most of my latest blog articles have been along the lines of handwriting - learning early American Spencerian writing. Pretty pleased. Richimages dot net. Check it out.

I love ZoomNotes. I have all of the notes apps, and the one I like most is ZoomNotes. It has all the goodies that all the others have (tags, .pdf support, etc.), plus you have way more control over the width of your ink.

Lately I've been usin what looks like a yellow tablet with graph paper and a fountain pen nib. Looks gorgeous!

As mentioned over here, a brilliant free app that has made a huge difference to how much I'm 'writing' with my Pencil, is MyScript Stylus.

It's essentially a keyboard app for iOS devices, and replaces the keyboard with a zone where you can write, with your finger, stylus or Pencil. It then converts that writing to text, all the while whilst still providing predictive text options for the few times it doesn't correctly identify your text. It includes multi-language dictionary support, which is really useful in the context of replying to emails in more than one language...

The novelty might pass in a few days/weeks, but I'm really enjoying being able to 'write' anywhere on my iPad, and have that converted to text. No doubt typing would probably be quicker in certain instances, but in those situations where I'm actually focusing on the task at hand, I find I'm preferring writing my thoughts out in full...

Figured I would mention the above here as well, in case someone picks up this thread [and not the other linked to above]...

I'm writing a lot more on the Pro with the Pencil.

I prefer writing, but hated having all my notes on paper in folders... Hence why I always typed.

But now, because the Apple Pencil is so good, I can have the best of both worlds. Combine that with Notability and it's recording features too, it's without doubt the best combination.

It's also renewed my interest in drawing, I'm not a great artist, but I love doing pencil sketches with the Pencil haha.

(P.S. this is my 100th post! OMG)

Well, today was the first day of the conference I'm attending in Atlanta. I used my 9.7 Pro to take notes. I found myself using the Pencil to handwrite notes in rooms where no tables were provided (the large ballroom) and the Smart Keyboard in the smaller breakout rooms where table are present.

I had a few people notice me using the Pencil or Smart Keyboard and ask me what kind of tablet I had. I let someone try the pencil and he was blown away by how natural it felt. He then wanted to know what model of iPad and accessories they were called as he is going to buy one himself after trying mine. He didn't realize the iPad Pro was available in a "normal size" as he put it.

Anyway, I was thoroughly pleased with using it today. Typing on the keyboard was great as it's extremely quiet and comfortable. I still have 62% battery left as I write this post on it. The size is just perfect for note taking IMO.
