it may just be the lighting, but i dont really see it.

mine looks like someone highlighted across the screen lol.

well on mine if there is a white screen or any color, its like yellow blob the size of a button ya know. Never gets lighter or darker.. haha

I returned my iphone 4 at the Apple store today due to a screen discoloration issue. The left vertical half of my screen appeared to be like a bluish tint whereas the right vertical half was more yellowish.

The "genius" agreed that I needed a new phone. He took out the replacement phone from the black box and handed to me to take a look. It looked fine but the home button was loose and wiggly. So I politely asked "Can I get a new phone? The home button is loose" He replied "It is within spec, I can give you a new phone but I can't guarantee that the new phone won't have the same problem". I then said "Can you please exchange it for another one, if you don't mind?" He said "I do mind." I was quite shock at his attitude but I didn't care as long as I got my new phone.

Well, the new phone I have now has a slight yellow circle in the lower left hand corner. It was very apparent when I first turned it on to use but after a few hours of usage its very very hard to see that its there. It's not something I would whine about in my case.

I hate to bump this old thread, but im going to!

:)

I feel that the issue is not the damn glue. It's been nearly a month since launch and i still have this yellow streak.

This issue has been quiet lately, have other members screens cleared up?

I still have a slight yellowish spot when the phone gets hot. I spoke to a genius that said apple would be addressing the issue at a press conference. But who knows? Still contemplating if I want to exchange it but. It's a non issue for me unless the phone gets really hot.

i still have my spots/lines. it's been a week in use. only shows really when the phone is hot and at a funny angle. i have 3 lines/spots in the middle of the display and a long yellow line all the way down the right side. went to apple and he said they would address it and possibly have a software fix??! don't know how that happens.

anyway, we have a year to exchange if it's a hardware issue. that is straight from the apple rep. maybe we wait on it for a couple months if it's not that bad and then we all get brand spanking new iphone 4's!!

i just replaced mine. It seems all the phones they have in stock now (replacements) are not having the yellow tint issue. I have mine in hand and it looks great.

I don't know why anyone would just deal with this sort of thing.

The phone locks you in to a two year agreement, and you'll probably be using it for at least one of those years if not two.

I would continue going back till they gave me a phone that worked exactly as it should.

I was just going to give it some time since I already applied my screen protectors that I put on perfectly. I am just hoping that they would go away so I didn't have to get it replaced!

I had some spots along the bottom that have gone away and I have some two on the left bottom corner that have not. I think the problem is that when the phone gets warm, that bottom edge does not! I am trying to run some apps to get the phone hot in hope that it will go away. If it won't go away in a week, I might have to go take it in. It could be an excuse to take it back down the road if I really needed too.

Basically, it seems like a big hassle to get a new phone, get new screen protectors and put them on perfectly. I hate putting screen protectors on!

So if you get your phone swapped then you pretty much have to pay for new protectors? I'm starting to notice yellowing in the right corner and up. I guess it's more apparent when the phone heats up. Would be a hassle to replace my sgp ultra crystal protector, sgp leather skin back protector and phantom skinz side protectors (over $30!).
