Mine was shipped on the 15th from Shanghai and I received it on the 18th. Pretty fast. Btw. this is a stock MBP SR.

Argh! Mine's been sitting at "prepared for shipment" since this time yesterday. I'd been hoping maybe they could pull off a minor miracle and I'd get it tomorrow, but if it hasn't even left Shanghai yet, ain't no way in hell it's getting to L.A. by tomorrow. Guess I'll have to find some other way to waste my weekend. :)

QUESTION:

Are there different stages in the Order Status? Currently, my order status says "Not Yet Shipped". If there are different status codes, what are they and how long does it take for each one?

I ordered mine the 15th and it finally shipped today, the 21st. Looks like it's going to take them about five days to get it here to the midwest from Shanghai, although if I know one thing about FedEx it's that if they don't make their estimated shipping date, it's because you've already received your package. ;D

From what I've been reading in this thread, the later in the month you ordered, the faster it's gotten to you. Apple doesn't seem to care enough to give earlier orders higher priority.

I'll cross my fingers for the weekend, maybe Saturday.

As far as I know, FedEx doesn't do Saturday delivery unless you're willing to pony up a crapload of extra money. Looking at last Saturday's posts in this thread, I didn't see anyone who got theirs delivered. I wouldn't bank on it coming on a Saturday. Sadly.

Ok you are so right!! The later you order it the sooner you get it!

Can I ask you a question:
1- what MBP did you get 2.2- 2.4 Glossy - matte?

2- where do you live?

I ordered on the 5th and live in Nevada , USA and still hasn't shipped.

Ok so I think I will try something - I will cancel my order and then reorder it today and my shipping date will be by friday!!?

I really think you should try calling Apple Sales Support (1-800-676-2775) and demand to know why your order has yet to be shipped before you do something like that. If I had waited as long as you, I'd probably have called a long time ago.

Of course if they give you the run-around that's an option, but don't expect it before July.

I live in Michigan, and I ordered a stock (matte) 2.2ghz. Currently, it's in Anchorage, AK so I'm hoping it will be here by Saturday. it doesn't look like I'll get it until Monday. =(

Yep, you're right. The method of delivery Apple uses (International Priority DirectDistribution® Freight) is Monday-Friday only. Shucks.

So I called them (for the third time) and they say since my order has a glossy screen it will take longer. I don't believe it takes that much longer so all I need to know is if someone has had their MBP delivered already that has a glossy screen?and if you have when did you order it?

Heh, that's an admirably restrained reaction.

I got all excited when mine got marked prepared yesterday, but there's been no movement since. Anybody know how long it usually takes between when something is marked "prepared for shipment" and it's actually shipped? Is it marked as shipped when it takes off from China, or do they wait until it hits Anchorage?

This is going to drive me completely insane over the next few days, I can already tell.

Haha, I'm in the same boat as you. I check my status like 30 times a day now.

Oh God, I failed at following my own advice.

It got here today at 9:30.

I was still sound asleep (dreaming of Macbook pros, too). We're having construction on our street so everything sounds like the FedEx truck.

I guess they're going to swing by again, so it's all smooth. Man, I can't wait!

My computer was 'shipped' today from China, and under Status it says: Shipment Exception. What's that mean?

The rest says:

Jun 22, 2007
4:00 PM | Picked up | SHANGHAI CN | Package received after FedEx cutoff
10:03 AM | Package data transmitted to FedEx

This better not be bad news

Yep, looks like yours and mine are on the same plane/train/automobile/backpack of a guy weaving a motorcycle through the traffic in Shanghai, I had the shipping exception for a while as well.

Woo hoo! Crossing my fingers for a Monday delivery.

YES! Mine finnaly changed to "Prepared for shipment".

How long does this status usually take to ship?

Recap:

I ordered on June 18th around 12pm. Base MBP, no upgrades, matte screen.

Mine took about a day and a half to move to "Shipped." Changed overnight last night, after an entire day of hitting refresh every five minutes on apple.com/orderstatus. Now I'm hitting refresh on FedEx.com. :)

23 jun 2007 15:00 Pudong International Airport Potential Linehaul Delay Due To Bad Weather
21 jun 2007 22:16 Shanghai Shipped From Originating Depot
21 jun 2007 12:23 Shanghai Consignment Received At Transit Point
21 jun 2007 08:58 Shanghai Consignment Picked Up

I need it before the 29th. Luckily shipments go to Holland directly from Pudong. So I might be lucky. *fingers crossed*. Hopefully the weather will be better soon.
