Posting from the new MacBook Pro now! Battery life is WAY better than my cranky old Powerbook's. The screen is ridiculously awesome, and I was pleasantly surprised at how light the computer was. I was expecting something of fairly similar weight to my PB, but it's at least a pound or two lighter.
I haven't put it through serious paces with stuff like Garageband and Photoshop, but so far, so good on the heat. Now I just need to get things like Smackbook and MacSaber going.

Same result but you won't run into any problems. If you use monolingual you run a small risk of removing something you shouldn't.
bare in mind once you take them away/uninstall them you have to re-install OS X to get them back.

For what its worth my 2.2 stock MBP shipped out this morning. I ordered it on the 26th of June, and it was ready for shipment yesterday and finally got picked up by fedex earlier this morning. It should be enroute by now, though the tracking number hasn't had any updates. Should be here by Monday, though I'm really really hoping for Friday.
