Wow, thats fast! I have ordered the same config on 23rd here in austria. Matte and the 160gb upgrade + edu discount. I just hope mine will be as fast as yours. You made my day 😀
 
I really don't get it. I ordered mine (2,4 ; 160GB 7200RPM) june the 15th and still no sign! I'm leaving for 2 weeks tommorow (without laptop!) when I'll come back I have been waiting for 2 months!!

I'm obviously not alone, then. I've waited since June 7th and it's still not even built. I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever receive it, since most people actually have theirs shipped within two weeks of order. How can Apple choose to neglect customers like this?

I just ordered my 2.2 SR MBP, 160gig 5400rpm drive glossy widescreen. It says it will ship between August 6 - August 9 and will deliver between August 14 to August 21st. I don't think I can wait that long to be honest 😉

Congrats! I ordered mine on the 18th as well but I upgraded the hard drive to 160 GB 5400 RPM. Hopefully the status shifts to Preparing for Shipping.

May I ask what time you ordered yours?
 
Mine was moving along great, it went from Shanghai to Memphis is just over 24 hours, it departed Memphis at 3:30 AM yesterday and there has been no update since..... :S So although im sure it's fine, i appears as though my MBP is MIA for over 24 hours now haha


Im hoping for some kind of update soon.

My 15" 2.4 shipped today. This will be my first return to using a Mac for day to day use in over 10 years. The last Mac I owned was a PowerMac 6100 (much love for the 601) and previous to that an Apple IIc. While I have always preferred the Mac interface and OS to M$ junk I liked PC gaming and various brands of *NIX a wee bit too much to justify owning a Mac. However now that my interest in high system requirement PC type gaming has really declined and the MBP does pretty much everything outside of that I want I plan to use it as a desktop replacement and stick with the X360/PS3 (+63" DLP) game wise. The Dell 30" is on its way as well. 🙂

When did you order your MBP? Matte or glossy?
 
Ordered July 13, shipped today, pretty much bang on the 7-10 business day lead time stated on the website at the time of order. 15" 2.4 matte, completely standard. Memory and (external) storage are much much cheaper elsewhere so I did not feel the need to upgrade either.

I would expect it will probably arrive to me (Canada) on Monday or Tuesday.

Edit: I'm hoping FedEx doesn't try and jack me on some retarded customs charges crap as they are prone to doing. I assume being shipped from a large supplier like Apple will preclude any shenanigans.
 
I ordered my MBP on th 14th, Finally shipped last night. I paid for 2 day shipping but it says it wont get here till the 31st. So its really 4 day shipping =\

MBP 15/2.4/2GB/160-5400/MATTE
