I wondered, did anyone try to install on imac 5k 2014-15 xeon e3 1230 v3 or any other xeon?

I've tried to replace e3v3 series cpu on 14-15, but there may be a problem with the model identification. What's more, under similar tdp conditions, 4790k is better.

I've tried to replace e3v3, but some systems don't. If e3v3 can be turned on after replacement, it can be used normally. Maybe there are some problems, but they are not serious, and they don't affect the use. It's just my personal experience, and I hope it will help you.
