Hate Matshita Drives

Both superdrives in my iMac G5 and MBP SR and seemingly dead now.
Its 11:07PM and tomorrow is my last day of school.
Our form decided to make a mixtape(CD) for our form tutor earlier in the week.
I got the list at last minute about half an hour ago.
Got all the tunes downloaded from iTunes.
Set up 2 playlists for CD1 and CD2.
Popped a CD-R in spins up comes back out.
For 2 brands of CD trying with lots of cds.
Imac did same but with dvds then just totally died throwing everything across the room.
I have 8 hours to get it to work I need to sleep aswell.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not to hijack but I'm also having similar problems. Although sometimes may work when I first turn the computer on but after an hour or two the superdrive stops working and needs a restart to start working again. Grrr! 😡
