Hate the "transfer" sound. Any way to change it?

Hey guys,

I really hate that sound my Mac makes when I move a file to a folder, etc. It's a weird clanging noise and it really irritates me. Is there any way I can change it to something else? I looked in "sounds" in the control panel and found nothing.

You can turn off all the user interface sounds in the SysPreferences. If you really want to keep them and change a sound (it needs some work) see http://forums.macosxhints.com/archive/index.php/t-70853.html (volume Mount is probably the sounds you mean). Keep a backup of the file around for a while in case you need it back.
