Has anyone successfully cracked the code to remove old, phantom email addresses? Every time I address a new email, I am presented with multiple old, inactive email addresses - addresses that I haven't used in years... but the continue to appear in the list of addressees.

I use Postbox, but it also happens with the native Mail app, and is beyond annoying.

There has to be a solution... but so far, it has evaded me. Anyone? Bueller?

In Mac Mail (in Mojave anyway) you can go to Window/Previous Recipients and remove those old addresses manually. I do that kind of housekeeping a couple of times a year. It can be tedious, but it works.

Yeah, I found the Postbox Address book in the "Window" tab yesterday and started cleaning it up... knew there had to be a location for that stuff. Thanks.

Glad this was brought up, gives me a 3 minute chore to do for the next few days and clean up is always a good thing.
