Thanks for all the replies. I think I'm going to stick with the 13". I just wanted to make sure there were not a lot of people out there who regret their choice of either model and it seems like nobody does. In the end the larger screen and better battery life/performance beat out smaller size.

Let me put it another way:
Has anyone who owns the 13" regretted it and wished they had the 11" or visa versa?

I think I can answer your concern perfectly. I originally bought the 11" one. After a week, I couldn't take it any more. The screen is way to small to do any productivity type of work, namely word processing, spreadsheet, etc. I exchanged for the 13" one and have never been happier.

You said you used it mainly in your office, right? Then 13" is definitely a keeper. Even if you travel sometimes, 13" is not much bigger or heavier than the 11" one anyway.

The 11" is a beautiful machine. It's not only the aspect of being thin, but it's sized and weighted like it's nothing. Surprisingly, it's pretty capable. The main things that kept me with the 13" was battery life, the SDCard slot (which technically acts as an ability to add fast non-moving SDCards operating at card-slot speeds), and the boosted screen resolution. It's like having a 15" machine without having a 15" machine. Being able to run content that would fill the screen on typical 13" machines, and have room to spare, is really useful.

Oddly enough, if the 11" had similar battery life, I'd probably would've went for the 11". It might have been just enough to tip the balance. However, the 13" MBA has taken more roles in my house than the 11" would've by itself. Partially because of specifics on where it outperforms my 2009 13" MBP, and where the MBP outperforms the MBA. For the most part, heavy lifting and true big projects get done on the MBP. It also is portable enough to where I may need to do that work away from home. (Like a portable studio). The MBA is more for the rest of activities. Browsing, watching vids, some gaming.

Both the 11 inch MBA and the 13 inch model are great little machines. No buyer could go wrong with either. Still, I think your decision to keep your 13 inch MBA was a good choice. Generally, our first decision is a better one that later, rethought, ones. As you noted,, if you exchanged your 13 inch model for the 11 inch, you would give up screen size, display resolution and battery life. That, coupled with the hassle of making the exchange would make the decision clear to me, at least. Keep enjoying your 13 inch MBA, I know I have been enjoying mine.

As secondary machine: MBA 11'
As primary machine: MBA 13'

Simple as.. :) Preferably the primary machine should have a 15' screen (MBP) if you spend a lot of time in front of your computer. Any less will be annoying in the long run IMO. MBA 11' is the perfect portable computer, much more portable than the 13' (which is still great though).

Keep the 13, I hate 16:9 displays like the 11". The day Apple makes the MBP 16:9, will be the day I stop upgrading.

I stopped upgrading after they went above 640 by 480 displays. All those annoying pixels and stuff ... The way I see it, I spend a LOT of money on these pixels ... I want to see the damn things!!!!
