I used a Samsung S6 Edge for a few months a couple of years ago.

One feature I LOVED was the ability to leave the clock on screen even when the phone was locked because of the way the OLED screen operates by using only the active pixels instead of the whole screen to display data.

I was wondering if anyone has come across this option in a review or seen anything similar with the iPhone X?

That would be useful. Apple don't do useful. ;-) (sarcasm)

As far as I'm aware there are no AOD options. It's a shame.

Damn.

For me it was that one feature, along with the superiority of the OLED screen, that made me think Android isn’t the “worst thing in the world”.
