I share my Mac with a few others in the house (each have our own profile) and I don't like leaving my profile open just so I can use Apple TV. I'm used to closing out my profile by, not signing out, but by clicking "Login screen" on my Mac. But if I do this, Apple TV loses connection to my Library. Any solution?

I do this all the time, I keep my computer set on the Login Window. As long as iTunes is still Open on your account when you switch to the Login Window (or to a different account), Apple TV should still have a connection with your Library. My computer runs all day and everyone in my family has an account on my iMac and I have never had an issue with my Apple TV not responding when someone else switches to their own account. Normally when they are done, they switch back to the Log in window.
