Hi all!

I'd like to open different Finder windows in different layouts, e.g. thumbnails for the pictures folder, detailed list for my documents, etc.

However, Finder does not seem to remember any of this and always opens windows in their apparent default layout.

Can I change this behaviour somehow? I'm using Leopard 10.5.5, by the way.

Thanks,
Helge.

Open Finder in whatever view you want, then go up to View and select Show View Options and you will be able to see a check box to always open in the View you are in now.. If it already has something else checked, uncheck and it will change... Hope this helps... Finder takes some getting use to, but has tons of ways to setup between View and Finder Preferences.
